Sheep Tales DVD

Sheep Tales is a fascinating video slideshow of beautiful photographs accompanied by an interesting, evocative and thoughtful voiceover.

This project pays tribute to the countryside, shepherds and farming communities of North Northumberland. It was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and supported by Think Make Grow, Berwick Record Office and Northern Breeze.

During this course of this project over 800 photos and 50 hours of oral history were collected which now reside in Berwick Record Office for anyone to access.

As Margret Borwn explained: "Realising the fascinating stories these photos told I felt they had to be given a different airing. Approaching a friend Henry Curry in Wooler, we brought together an interesting mix showing work, play, weather and more about life in this wonderful place."

DVD sales are non-profit making with monies being used to keep the Sheep Tales website live and to continue the work this educational project began.

"None of this would have happened without the goodwill of everyone involved (impossible to list) and for this I hope the listener will be very grateful. I hope it will in some way enrich the lives of those who love this way of life and wonderful heritage." commented Margaret.

You can get your copy from Brands on the High Street, Wooler for £9.95 or submit the form below (postage & packaging charge applies).
