ETA INGHAM LAWRIE
Eta Ingham Lawrie uses wool to create beautiful knitted and crocheted garments and accessories, notable for their subtle range of colours and textures. She is also a weaver of wall hangings, working much of the time on an upright loom, with an international exhibition history dating back to a show in London in 1964. Eta mainly works with sheep’s wool, which she hand dyes in an amazing range of colours, using both mineral and plant dyes.
Eta also runs regular weaving workshops, which always book up very quickly. Eta can also be seen at national annual wool events such as Woolfest and also at local events such as the St Abbs Wool Festival and the Sheep Tales Wool Festival. Craft type
