​FELT MAKING WORKSHOP WITH ANNA TURNBULL

Friday 24th November 2017 -  10am-4pm
At Biteabout Farm, Lowick

Nuno Felted Scarves: Make your own lightweight scarf, felted with merino wool and silk.
All materials, equipment and a lunch of homemade bread and soup provided. 
No experience needed. Just bring a towel. Workshops run with a minimum of 4 people.

Shetland Lace Knitting Workshop with Mavis Clark

Saturday ​25th Nov 2017, 10am–3:30pm
At Cheviot Centre, Wooler
Mavis Clark will teach you a variety of traditional Shetland stitches. You will make a sampler using a circular needle and a ball of one ply wool. All materials are provided, but you'll need to bring your own lunch. Circular needles available for purchase.

2018 Program of Advanced Knitting Workshops with Mavis Clark  

Last Saturday of the month, except December & May.(no workshop in December & May workshop is on 19th)
​10am - 3.30pm at Cheviot Centre Wooler
First workshop Sat 27th January 2018

​This monthly program of one day workshops is aimed at experienced knitters who wish to learn the advanced knitting skills of Shetland cobweb lace, 2-ply lace, Fair Isle, Ganseys (traditional fisherman’s sweaters) and other forms of traditional knitting. Mavis Clark will guide you through your own project/s and you are free to attend one, several, or all of the workshops. Places are limited and so booking is essential. 
Cost £20 per person for 1 workshop or £100 for all 11 workshops. Contact Mavis Clark on 01668 281884 for further information.
